OPEN MINDS
March 2025
AARN
Dear Readers,
March signies a transition between autumn and summer. The nature,
having come out of the slumber of winter springs to life again. It's
denitely the time of rejuvenation and celebration, but the question is
why do we get rejuvenated at this time of the year? Everything in this
world happens with a purpose, and it's our pious duty to understand it.
Nature doesn't want us to remain passive or locked inside a cell. It stirs us
to contribute our best to this world. The outburst of energy is for a
constructive cause. The best way to know it can be to look within and talk
to oneself.
In schools, this month is hued with several activities
from
exams to
PTM's. Getting the infrastructure ready to be used by more than two
thousand students in the session to come is not a cakewalk. A huge
manpower is invested into repair and replacement tasks. Even the
educational resources go through a lot of innovative updates and
alterations. The application strategies do undergo a considerable change
in the process to make it comprehensible. Nobody knows what lies in
store in the times to come, but fortune favours only those who prepare for
the imminent.
March also represents the culmination of an awfully successful session
which has been both rewarding and challenging. We felt many moments
of pride, at the same time, we got wiser by notches as we worked up
innovative ways to come out of vicissitudes with ying colours. Things
are happening at such a frantic pace that we need to remain on toes not to
miss a single learning that comes our way. With new leaders taking up
positions with zeal and vigour to make the coming session a success, we
are ready to roll on a new course with a glint in our eyes and
determination demeanors.
Let's walk up to the clarion call of duty and welcome the times to come
with hope and exibility in our approach. Let our new cry be
“
चरैवेित-चरैवेित
”.
Wish you all a happening year ahead!
Warm regards,
A. Awasthi

Dear Reader,
The month of March
becomes very important
in the journey of a school as it
symbolises the transition from
past to future, from known to
unknown, from one accomplishment
to another. It shows life never stops; the
journey always goes on. And in this constant
motion and transformation lies the soul of life.
Our little eyes keep watching numerous things
losing their signicance into a new creation in place. It
does strike a symphony between what is happening in our
campus and what the nature is doing as the trees shed their
old leaves to get adorned with new ones.
Exams overcast the horizon as whatever the students had gained
during the whole academic year is suddenly put to test. You can
witness worried yet resolute faces lling page after page with
what they had learned and realized with the help of their mentors
and other sources. Life through various activities in the campus
teaches them how to ght with the demons of doubts in their
minds and prove themselves on the touchstone of knowledge.
The results having been announced consequently, the school
premises get swarmed with students and their parents coming to
meet their teachers and discuss the strategies for the coming
session.
Several other activities like Induction sessions and CBSE annual
exams do occupy their own space preparing the students for the
forthcoming challenges and duties so that they can march on the
path to progress and self-realization with faith in their hearts that
it's how the little children mould into strong men and women.
This issue of the newsletter brings to you a few glimpses of those
moments in a colourful and interesting way through words and
visuals. Keep reading and keep growing with each step you take
with us.
Yours truly,

Holi Aayi Re…
Holi Aayi Re…
Holi is the festival of joy that drenches all with various hues. It's
a symbol to live in the moment and welcome the harvest
season with gaiety and affection. It reminds us that it's not only
the body but our inner selves that should soak in the bliss of
life. It's time to just be or be ourselves, put all the masks we
wear in everyday life off and welcome all with love and
sincerity.
At Open Minds - A Birla School Kankarbagh, Holi is an
occasion for being inclusive and give vent to our creative side.
In a beautifully planned out ceremony, the teachers and the
other staff gathered to bathe one-another
with ower petals. The OMKites showed
they prefer environment over everything,
that staying eco-friendly is an innovative
way to show our concern for nature. Let's
have a few glimpses…
“Holi is a me to splash life with the colours of joy.”
“Holi is the perfect me to improve understanding and love within our family.”
“Burn your ego, expecta ons and ill thoughts in the fire of Holi.”
“Today marks the beginning of the rest of your life.” – Unknown
“Success is not final, failure is not fatal: It is the courage to con nue that counts.” – Winston S. Churchill
PTM's
A Trinity of
Parents Teachers and Children
The annual exams gone, here was the time for another
festival at the campus – and we call it PTM. Expectant
yet worried faces of children and teen-agers lled the
school premises. They came accompanied with their
parents. The teachers with their observation reports
and results were ready to welcome them. Smiles got
exchanged, hand-shakes conveyed the warmth and
joy of meeting and the school witnessed desperate yet
crucial appraisal of the students' performances. There
were countless questions posed from the parents' side
which the teachers handled with care. At the end of
these sessions, it was a joy to see the satised faces
emerging out of the meeting rooms and moving
towards the corridor. Here are some images to look at.

A school is the sum total of what the teachers do throughout the session. It's they who toil relentlessly to make
learning easier and interesting for students. Their duties cannot be restricted by the constraints of time or a
particular space. They, in a way, work 24×7 to create a comprehensive learning environment. Their priceless
contribution needs to be recognized and acknowledged.

25 and 26 March went as special days in the history of Open Minds as the members of the entire staff, who
had contributed signicantly in making the recently held Annual Meet a huge success, were awarded by the
management. Some extraordinary workers were assigned new responsibilities and positions. The teachers
were also appreciated for the efforts they had made throughout the session. It was pleasant to see the happy
faces radiating faith and satisfaction over the recognition of their efforts.

Bringing up a Child is not a child's play. It demands consummate action from many sides like parents and
teachers and on many fronts. It becomes extremely intricate at the point when the toddlers prepare to go to
school. This is the birth of a new student, and it also starts a new chapter in the book of parenting when
they have to understand the nitty-gritties of their child's schooling.
OMK, with a view to facilitate this transition helps the parents by conducting the induction session where
they come to know the ways of the school and the schooling system, meet the faculty of their kids and get
acquainted with the application software – Edulitics – around which the entire system revolves. Little
ones entering the campus with a strange awe in their eyes is a beautiful sight to cherish. After all, it marks
an important phase in the evolution of a human being.
