LETTER
From the Principal's Desk
Dear Reader,
The farewell of rain and the commencement of the festival season in India brings to us both
the sad and the happy feelings simultaneously. Saying goodbye to Monsoon, we get busy
cleaning our homes and hearth to welcome the mild winter, we know as 'Sharad' in our part
of the world. It comes giving us the message of the victory of good over evil in the form of
'Durga Puja'. The scorching heat gives way to the milder rays of the sun. The mildness of
nature advises us to tone our stress down and prepare for awakening of the soul in the
festive spirit of Diwali. Earthen lamps will turn a specific night almost into a day. It's
good to illumine the world with but far more important it is to illumine the inside. Still,
the festival of light sends out a big message which the world desperately needs, 'Let there be
light'. Let the world come out of the primitive darkness to enjoy the dawn of civilization.
Let all the savagery go, let compassion fill every heart. Let wars go, let peace prevail.
Amidst all these festivities, we also need to keep our eyes set on the next assessment, 'the
Post Mid Term Examinations'. The syllabus duly completed in all the subjects, the festive
breaks can provide the children a wonderful opportunity to revise everything they have
covered in school, and when the school opens, they will find themselves ready to take on the
tests. Learning is a must, but its revision which helps us retain the things we have learnt.
Amid the month that observes festivity, the academics too was on a full go as the students
now reach close to their POST MID TERM ASSESSMENT. We do believe that
learning must surpass the four walls of a classroom so the significance of activities can not
be overloaded. Thus we designed the curriculum integrated with activities to inculcate
competitive spirit among our students. The days eventually came to an end marking the
end of October and thus making our students seasoned to face the examinations having
immense conviction on themselves.
In the thick of all, one thing in background that is slowly gaining momentum is the
preparation of the Annual Function that is awaited in the early months of the next year.
Yours truly,
Reshma Singh

Dussehra Assembly
Dussehra Assembly
Dussehra symbolises the victory of good
over evil. On this momentous day, Lord
Rama trounced Ravana in the battle to
free his wife Sita from the demon's
captivity. The big war that was waged
between the two sides lasted for 10
days. It is believed that Rama could
achieve victory only with the blessings of
Mother Goddess. Therefore, the f i r s t
9 days have been
dedicated to the
worship of the Divine
Mother, 'Durga'. The

Battle
is the most magnicent competition in which a human being can
indulge. It brings out all that is best; it removes all that is base.
Art lies in one's ability to create wonder with almost any
thing of common use. The things used, in particular,
become just a means to give concrete shape to one's
imagination. It can also be described as an ability to
see the beauty in everything and use one's creativity
to further refine it. Nothing can exist without art as it is
the soul of all we have and do.
It may need to be perfected through practice and
patience, but the effort dedicated to it change us as a
human, making a better version out of it. The kids of
OMK understand it very well. Therefore, they decided
to showcase their skills through carving objects from
bamboo parts. It was a pure joy to see the little artists at
work.

Living the Joy of Writing Letters
Living the Joy of Writing Letters
Letter writing is nothing less than an art. It
demands a good hold on the language, flexibility
in one's approach and the power to say a lot in
little. This month, a letter writing campaign was
organised in schools across India by Indian Postal
Department on the topic 'Digital India for a New
India'. Around a hundred middle and high school
children from OMK participated in the campaign
with a lot of enthusiasm and tried to pen down
their thoughts and suggestions on the topic in
letters addressed to 'the Postmaster General'
Bihar Circle. The students had a lot of ideas and
the cherished setting them in black and white in
the form of a letter. The letters were sorted and
mailed to the prescribed address. In this digital
era, when few think of holding a pen, it was a
pleasure to see the children engrossed in this
activity.
To send a letter is a
good way to go
somewhere without
moving anything but
your heart.
CBSE Cluster Games
CBSE Cluster Games
The entire progress mankind has made is the
result of the struggle man makes to bring the
best out of himself. Competitions with others
simply become a means to stir the hunger in us.
They compel us to come out of the comfort
zone and put in all we can to exert our
greatness on the sur face. Therefore,
accepting them in right spirit and putting our
best foot forward is desirable. OMK being the
organisation to infuse its students with
confidence and competitive spirit has got a
pool of talent in various sports and fields.
Recently the students were on creative
rampage. Riding on the chariot of victory, they
registered success in several events organised
in different schools. Whether it was chess,
skating, volleyball or swimming, they won
hearts everywhere with their awe-inspiring
performance. Enjoy a few glimpses…
