SESSION : 2022-23
Dear Parents
Greetings!
It is not in the stars to hold our destiny but in ourselves.
– William Shakespeare
Today, the role of school is not only to pursue academic excellence but also to motivate and empower its students to be lifelong learners, critical thinkers, and
productive members of an ever-changing global society. At OMK, we provide an atmosphere to our students for multifaceted development, where children are
encouraged to channelize their potential in the pursuit of excellence. This can only be possible in a holistic, student-centric environment.
Learning is not a process limited to schools and colleges, nor does it end with the conclusion of one's school career. It is indeed a lifelong process. Our school is
oriented to achieve the complete formation of a child and to adapt various methods suiting the dynamics of the changing world in order to achieve common
goals and objectives. It is further characterized by a shared vision-responsibility and above all, love and faith in God in order to achieve these goals.
Our curriculum and practices are consistently reviewed to ensure that we are following the most updated and best practices, meeting all regulations, and
addressing the future needs of our students. Our staff consistently follows current trends and after brainstorming over the best plan of action, we zero in on the
ones that are most appropriate to our requirements. The system of education has become so dynamic that it is no longer enough to connect the dots, we need to
think out of the box and beyond a pattern.
The
students at OMK are offered many opportunities to explore their interests and investigate new ideas. We offer many
activities and varieties of musical
ventures that our students can participate in. Many of our students are involved in a variety of extracurricular activities that allow them the opportunity to grow
at their own pace in a safe, nurturing environment. The students are encouraged to take part in all the internal and external events and are given enough
guidance and practice before being exposed to the competitions.
Our students, after graduating from OMK, would be well equipped with the skills, mind set and qualities that will best enable them to strive for success in future.
Our children are intelligent, resilient, creative, imaginative, disciplined, respectful, ethical and would remain dedicated to the pursuit of knowledge. The
nurturing they get from the school would definitely make them become the future leaders and role models of the society.
As we all know that Independence Day is a blessed occasion for all Indians irrespective of their caste, creed, religion etc, we too celebrated this day to promote
a feeling of patriotism and nationalism among our students. 15th August is the day when we got freedom from the clutches of the British rule after many years of
hard and untiring struggle by our freedom fighters. Thus, every year we celebrate this national festival to commemorate the day when India started breathing in
free air.
We celebrated our 75th Independence Day on 15th August 2022 with a motive of making the young generation aware of the sacrifices of our freedom fighters
to make this country a better place for them. It also aims at making us understand the value of freedom and our duties and responsibilities towards our country
thereby heralding a 'new India' in the canvas of the world.
Getting independence from the British was not easy but to maintain and cherish this independence is equally hard. So, let us all pledge today to take care of this
hard earned freedom and work hard for building a beautiful nation.
Happy reading!

the entire school participated in this plantation drive as directed by the C.B.S.E. The
students took the
responsibility to water all the plants inside the school premises. They also planted saplings and vowed
to
nourish them. Besides, they involved themselves in making beautiful posters and campaigned to motivate each and
everyone
about their duties towards 'Mother Nature'. This participation helped the students understand that we
should
keep our environment clean and plant more saplings to restore the environmental balance. It also
rekindled emotive
concerns for 'Mother Nature'.

With credence to the quote mentioned above and the aim of creating worthy imminent
leaders, students of Open Minds A Birla School, Kankarbagh were invested with the duties of
office bearers for the academic session 2022-2023 with great pomp and show. The respected
Principal, Mrs Reshma Singh, administered the oath to the newly designated members. Each
student leader vowed to uphold and obey the convention and ethics of the school. The
investiture ceremony is one of the paramount ceremonies of an institution which emphasizes
the faith and belief we rest in our newly elected council members. The ceremony came to an
end with the school song. The Investiture Ceremony of OMK, 2022 will be commemorated for
a long time.

transformed into a land of joy, festivity and happiness. With brimming enthusiasm, the students took part in
various activities like singing bhajans, dancing on the songs manifested for Lord Krishna and inacting a short

"There Is More Treasure In Books Than In All The Pirates Loot On Treasure Island."K2 children were
introduced to the beautiful world of books. The kids were awestruck when they had their first hand
experience of visiting the school library. The little ones understood that the hush hush
environment will stimulate higher levels of concentration. They were very much attracted to the
fairy tale books as they contained magic, adventure, a quest with twist and turns, and above all
glossy pages with dazzling and attractive pictures.

The sacrifices of our soldiers in the past and also in the present cannot be compared to anything. Only the brave - hearts can take the decision to sacrifice
themselves for their country. The Veer Gatha Project introduced by CBSE made us gather the throe that each soldier takes up to keep us safe. Our
students across Grades 3 - 12 wrotes essays, stories and also painted the dauntlessness of soliders batched with the Gallantry Awards.
