MARCH - MAY
Session : 2022-23
From The Principal's Desk
Dear OMK Family
This has been a rugged yet preternatural year and as we are about to draw it to a close, we
can look back thankfully for the doggedness and indomitability shown by everyone to make
education of our children go on unabated in spite of all odds. We look forward to another
incredible and productive school year.
Change is the basic law of nature. But the changes wrought by time affect individuals and
institutions in different ways.
Needless to say, the pandemic has struck us like a bolt of lightning, sudden and mortiferous. It
has disrupted life as we all have witnessed. The misery caused to people is untold. With the
enforcement of strict social distancing measures and school closures in many countries, there
have been rapid, widespread and potentially permanent changes to traditional modes of
teaching and learning.
Learning is the acquisition of knowledge, but it doesn't have to solely occur through age-old
methods.
The pandemic has transformed the Centuries- old, chalk- talk teaching model to
one driven by technology. In the face of a crippling pandemic, technology has emerged as a
major lifesaver. Amongst many institutions Open Minds A Birla School has also shifted its
base to a virtual platform and crafted 'Eduletics' to keep the academics of our students on.
The sudden shift to digital learning had a drastic effect on teachers, parents and students. The
teachers were suddenly faced with the challenge of how to continue the academic process.
Though it seemed to be a daunting task, I am thankful to our teachers who continuously
updated themselves, kept learning and improving. We are deeply indebted to all our teachers
for their whole hearted support and co-operation in carrying out online classes successfully in
the previous session. They not only successfully engaged the students but also minutely
monitored their progress.
We are grateful to you dear parents for your support and ever willing spirit to walk hand in
hand with the management in providing the best education for your wards.
We extend our accolades to all members of OMK who are helping us prepare for the new
school year. Your commitment to ensure that OMK remains a celebrated and thriving school
is awe-inspiring. We eagerly look forward to greeting students and families again. Together,
we know we will make this school year one of growth and achievement for all our children.
Lastly, we would like to say that education is a process of waking up to life and its mysteries.
We are condent that with the help of God, with the dedicated staff and the support of all the
parents, we will be able to achieve the grander heights in the society.
Happy reading!

We organised these PTM's after an interval of three months to evaluate the overall
performance of the students. Every student is gifted with some positive and
constructive attributes. To nurture this, we nd it important to build up a cordial
relationship with both students and parents. The PTM aimed at encouraging each
student to bring out their best and appraise their grades.

Tokens of appreciation were
distributed among the students,
recognizing their enthusiasm
and zeal to read books and to
review them. The starting point
of
every achievement is desire. If
one has the desire one can easily
succeed. This was proved by our
primary wing students who
achieved their lagniappe, by
reading the books from the
library.

We would like to express our gratitude and appreciation to the entire team for immaculately
performing their duties. It always makes us feel proud to work with a team that is so efcient
and
motivated. The resilience and patience that our administrative team showed during the
most turbulent times were commendable. The transport team displayed extraordinary energy
level and sincerity in handling the challenges on their way in an exemplary manner. We also
appreciate the tremendous amount of effort that all the faculty members have put in to
accomplish each goal on time. Without the support of and the coordination among all the
departments, the organization might not have achieved these milestones.

Being physically and mentally t is important for the overall development of a child. The school has
taken up initiatives to carve the stamina and reexes of our students. We introduced dance and aerobics
to bring out the sportsmanship and organizational skills of each individual. This helped them to learn to
work together as a team player.
