From The Principal's Desk

Dear Readers,

February heralds Spring - the king of the seasons. In our culture it ushers in a period of creativity
and accomplishments. And you would agree that no accomplishments can be possible without
applying oneself to the mission of life with meticulousness and zeal.

The school campus has been the witness to a urry of activities after classes resumed in the
ofine mode. We began with an array of activities from assemblies to students running over the
essentials of the Art Integration Project, the Heritage Quiz, Winterature along with the practice
tests, and got our students ready for the culmination of the session. Each and every member of
Open Minds Kankarbagh was chipping in with the best of their capacities to complete the tasks
assigned in the best possible ways. It is beautiful to see people work, but it is far more beautiful to
see them pour out all they have to bring about a transformation in the society. Challenges do
cause bumps in the journey, but what is life without challenges? After all, it is re that turns the
iron into steel.

At Open Minds, we spare no effort to offer multitudes of opportunities to our children, it is for
them make the most of it. The possibilities not only help the students in their holistic growth but
also strengthen their belief in team work, which is of great importance in this fast-faced world. It
is our strife to endow them with all these qualities and more.

Finally with the second term well under way we want to thank everyone for your continued
support as we collectively strive to provide optimal prerogatives for learning each and every day.
The  School  Administration  also  values  the  important  bequests  made  by  our  associates  for
rediscovering the magic of learning.

We  believe  that  this  is  the  time  not  to  just  deal  with  current  obligations,  but  also  build  the
foundation of resilience to face every life's ordeal emphatically.

We must remain positive and keep our hopes alive as we believe that "Nothing is predestined".
The obstacles of  our past can become the gateways that lead to new beginnings.

Happy reading!

The Assemblage

The Assemblage

The pupils of Grade 9 articulated their thoughts
and  purposes  through  an  assortment  of
assemblies.  They  spawned  their  comely
enactments  and  speeches  to  enrich  all  about
moral  ethics,  humanity  and  integrity.  The
renditions motivated all and gave an insight of
experiential  moments  with  anecdotes  and
stories.  They  brought  in  among  their  fellow
mates the sense of identity and responsibility in
the school.

 The Winterature

Covid had almost created a huge disbalance of physical and mental abilities of a student. Open Minds
tried to bridge up this balance by announcing 'Winterature'. We worked towards developing the
potential of individuals' holistic and integrated performances. There were more than 200 students
across all Grades who had participated in an array of debates, speeches, poems and monologues.
Each  showcased  their  intellectual,  spiritual  and  emotional  aspect  rmly  believing  in  truth  and
discipline.

In house Training Sessions

'Who dares to teach, must never cease to learn' – John Cotton Dana
Learning is a continuous process and as long as there is life, there is learning. With a major paradigm
shift happening in the eld of education, it is critically imperative for an educationist to be aligned
with these transformations. To prepare a generation of skilled and well-informed individuals who
will be the future of tomorrow, we need up-skilled teachers who can drive this force, efciently.

Practice Tests

The very old saying 'Practice makes a man perfect', we at Open Minds always have expedited ways
for perfection. It is important to demystify the whole question paper before taking up the nal tests.
We conducted a practice test across all grades to reduce anxiety among students, highlighted the gaps
in the subject knowledge, spaced out their learning and further helped to apply them.

From change comes growth.
