Dear Parents, Family and Associates of OMK,
Our school has always chosen the best ideologies and concepts of
education to pursue certain ideals in its establishment over the years, for
we assume that the signicance of these values predicts and colours
what we see around us. They are accurate and inspirational portrayals of
the world around us. Learning is an inevitable consequence of the
human condition. We are born with innate curiosity, which is the
manifestation of our intrinsic motivation to learn how to master our
environment. Without it, we would not survive. We are social beings,
and we learn from each other.
We are avid apostles of effective and innovative professional
development that encourages students to be reective and emboldens
teachers
to practice quality teaching and learning for each student. The
ability to have fecund imagination and being a Promethean is important
to us. We enjoy being innovative and look forward to being inspired by
the people around us. The school aims to rhapsodize and challenge
teachers and students to be inventive and imaginative in their learning
and day to day tasks.
The all new online session 2021-22 will help you continue your technical
voyage through blended learning and a whole new exhilarating
experience. We robustly believe that communication builds and repairs
relationships. We conducted PTMs across all grades to fabricate an
unwrinkled pathway between us.
We encourage you to be proactive and take part in the array of
opportunities
and initiatives provided from time to time by the school.
We are here to support you every step of the way
by making learning a
novel, enriching and interesting experience.

THE VIRTUAL PTM
For an effective and successful labor, it is important that it begins and ends with good
communication. We did feel the long hiatus between parents and the teachers in the ongoing
period of isolations and lockdowns. It was imperative for us to build the bridge and hear what
hadn't been said for long. Hence, we conducted virtual PTMs for all grades to water the tree of
clarity, understanding and mutual valuing.

INDUCTION CEREMONY: GRADE 11
Nelson Mandela said “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the
world.” Education is an ongoing process and any hindrance to it would affect the evolution of
humanity. Covid has created a lot of potholes on our path but this couldn't stop us from instating
our
new batch of Grade 11 conducting the induction ceremony for Grade 11 (Session 2021-22).
Our faculty members welcomed and introduced themselves to the new batch.

demonstration of each student. It has helped both the students and the teachers to investigate and
hone their teaching learning process. Our aim is to prepare individuals to face society with greater

WORKSHOP ON DIGITAL BOARD
As Albert Einstein said, “Intellectual growth should commence at birth and ease at death”, the
school was commiserative about the need of technologically perfecting the teaching
methodology. So, it conducted a workshop to train its faculty on how to use the 'Digital Board'.
This was done for the better understanding and building a strong connectivity between the
teacher and the taught.

INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY
The Day was marked at a time when COVID-19 pandemic continued to upend lives and livelihoods
of people globally. The COVID-19 pandemic has exacerbated psychological suffering and mental
health problems, including depression and anxiety, as pandemic-related restrictions continue in
various forms. This had highlighted the urgent need to address the mental health dimension of the
pandemic, in addition to the physical health aspects. Recognizing the important role of Yoga, this
year Open Minds commemorated the International Day of Yoga with all faculty members, focusing
on the benets of 'Yoga' and how practising it can promote holistic health for every individual.

ACKNOWLEDGING THE HARD EFFORTS OF TEACHERS
1 August, 2021 marked the onset of the quest when in the presence of the entire school
management and all the teaching fraternity, some teachers for pioneering in the eld of
teaching, motivating the students and correcting the assignments in letter and spirit of the task
were
identied on the basis of some strict criteria and rewarded also in cash. A letter was also
presented to them as a token of appreciation for displaying academic leadership. Thus, August 1
this year, heralded a new era in acknowledging the talent and extraordinary zeal shown by the
teachers in the discharge of their duties.

ONLINE ASSEMBLY
Assemblies serve a purpose that is both sacred and didactic. It's when the mentors and the mentored both
congregate to strike a note with the Divine and enshrine His blessings into their consciousness.
Assemblies also bestow the scholars a chance to learn by listening to the erudition coming from their
teachers. In assemblies, we pray, we learn, we stay and thrive together grooming ourselves with a
humane approach.
Keeping the same ideals in mind, we at Open Minds Kankarbagh ushered in the idea of Online
Assemblies with the onset of the mid term. After a lot of deliberations, a few fruitful topics were picked
to weave the entire assembly around. The programme being specically for children, involves them in a
large way – whether it is debating a contextual topic or interpreting an idea or a word. Each episode is
accompanied with motivational rendition, and the cream on top is the class teacher acquainting the
students with unique yet practical vocabulary at the close of the programme. To encourage the students
to evolve themselves as smart and disciplined individuals, they are also recognised for their disposition
on campus.

'Change' has been the new normal for the past two years and we at Open Minds have always accepted all
challenges. With the new terms of CBSE, the schools have now been instructed to conduct 'Online
Subjective Unit Tests'. Open Minds successfully conducted the online tests for grades IX – XII, with the
help of the home-grown technology 'Eduletics'.
