Dear Parents, Family and Friends of OMK

Wish you all a new year ﬁlled with mirth, prosperity and peace!

To assist children in developing a ributes that will simultaneously help them grow
into good human beings is the principal campaign of any educa onal ins tu on. It is
very necessary that the young minds are introduced to concepts and principles that
can help them advance in life, enriching not only their career prospects but also them
to become good inhabitants of the world.

We, at OMK, have been perpetually working to meet the set targets and to be very
honest, I feel very delighted to share that we are progressing towards the goals very
promptly. Our children are our rays of hope and the insistent task of na on building
lies on their shoulders.

The month of December, 2020 was completely dedicated to academics as we began
our Post Mid Term Assessments from 12.12.2020 but s ll we had a bunch of other
impera ve tasks that found their place in the month descrip on. The students
consciously appeared for the Post Mid Term Examina on and we strongly believe that
they will score meritoriously.

We have ﬁnally managed to travel through the year we believe nobody wishes to
remember and we are very conﬁdent that 2021 will have be er things in store for us.

With a posi ve mind-set and approach, I present the NEWSLETTER for the month of
December (Session 2020-21).

Leadership captures the essentials of being able and prepared to inspire others. Effective leadership is based upon
ideas—both innate and acquired—which are effectively communicated to others in a way that engages them enough to
act as the leader wants them to act.
A leader inspires others to act while simultaneously directing the way that they act. They must be personable enough
for others to follow their orders, and they must have the critical thinking skills to know the best way to use the
resources at an organization.
With the highlights discussed above, we feel highly elated to share with you all that Open Minds- A Birla School,
Kankarbagh

has a new Head Teacher, who is all set to anchor the ship with her vision, rm insight and determined

approach. She is none other than Mrs. Reshma Singh, a gure known to everyone associated with OMK. She took the
charge of the ofce as the Principal from 01.12.2020. Before being appointed as the Principal, she had been holding the
ofce of School Coordinator for about 5 years, to which she has done complete justice.
A grand Oath Taking Ceremony was organized on 01.12.2020 in the school premises. The event was graced by the
hounoured presence of Mrs. Reshma Singh's parents, Mr and Mrs. R P Singh, her ex-colleagues from St Joesph's Convent,
Jethuli , Mrs. Namisha Pandey, Mrs. Supta Chatterjee and Mrs. Sagarika Sengupta, and her son, Master Aditya Singh.
The oath was administered by our Honourable Director, Dr. Reinhold Michalak. The Wing Coordinators and HODs
congratulated the newly appointed Principal and the function concluded with the Vote of Thanks delivered by Senior
Wing Coordinator, Mr. Aditya Sarswati.
A mingle of contemporary and traditional personality, Mrs. Reshma Singh completely envisions to help OMK establish
new landmarks and we wish her good luck for her future.

OMK FOUNDATION'S DAY

We stand strong!

The beauty of an edice is not how it appears but how long it will stand the test of time. It is very

necessary that one's foundation is strong and stable, be it a building or building a career.

OMK celebrated the 9th Foundation's Day on 12.12.2020 in the Sharda Auditorium, School Campus.

Unlike every year, we could not celebrate such an auspicious and important day with full engagement

and preparedness, considering the ongoing pandemic situation. But, still we tried to make the day a

memorable one. The celebration initiated with the inaugural address by our Honourable Director

Dr.Reinhold

and the prominence of the day was highlighted by our Principal, Mrs. Reshma Singh.

Farewell is a word that relates with those who are to be forgotten; the ones who remain in the
hearts are never forgotten.
It has been three years now when our lovable and amicable patron, Maa Sharda left for her heavenly
abode. Remembering her and her lessons for life, OMK conducted a prayer assembly on her third
PUNYA TITHI

on 24.12.2020.

Maa Sharda had always been a constant guide to each one of us and will always be. Members of the
OMK Family paid their homage to the divine and humble soul.
