JANUARY
SESSION : 2018-19
Mr Madhukar Jha
Dear Parents, Family and Friends of OMK
It has always been primarily discussed that excellence and appreciation run
parallel to each other. Both the attributes stand as a kin of each other. But as far as
my estimation is considered, I totally share a distinct opinion. They do not run
parallel, they cannot. It is the excellence that carves the trail leading to
appreciation. For getting yourself embellished with words of admiration and
appreciation, you require to perform your duties and execute your tasks with
maximum dedication and excellence. Further, working with a foresight of getting
appreciated won't fetch you the desired outcome. It has to be the excellence on
which your sight should to constant upon.
At OMK, everyone is an ardent believer of the above stated fact. And it won't be
wrong if I say that the numerous moments of success and achievements that we
have been cherishing down the time line are the results of our hard work and
determination to up-keep the excellence quotient.
The maiden month of 2019 can be considered as the month inclined towards
academics but certain activities also became the part and parcel of this month.
With the small note stated above, I put forward the first report of 2019, the
NEWSLETTER of January.
Life on earth is the best gift sent straight from the Almighty's home. It is to be enjoyed and lived to the fullest.
There are a number of hurdles that restrict mankind from living life peacefully and happily. But the foremost
of all that disrupts the periodic chores are health issues. It becomes very vital to remain healthy in order to
have a good time enjoying life.
Under the guidance of Primary Health Centre, Sampatchak, Patna in collaboration with WHO and in context to the
order passed by Government of Bihar towards compulsory vaccination of children aged between 9 months to 15
years against Measles and Rubella, an awareness programme was held in the premises on 21.01.2019. A team of
doctors and medical practitioners visited the school to make the mass aware about the symptoms and precautions that
should be taken to uproot the diseases. After seeking the written consent of the parents, the students were vaccinated
against Measles and Rubella (MR). The vaccination campaign initiated on 21.01.2019.

Safety is something that rewards one with the gift of tomorrow. The fate of our tomorrow is directly
proportional the amount of safety indulged in our life.
A fire safety mock drill under the supervision of Fire Safety Department of Government of Bihar was organized in our
premises on 21.1.2019. The prime motive of the drill was to make the students aware about the safety measures that
play an elementary role in our civic life. Practicing general fire safety and preparing and practicing emergency exit plans
essential in preventing fires and fire fatalities were the main agenda of the mock drill. Adding to this, the students of
Grade 7 and 8 also presented a special thematic assembly on the same. Mr Shyam Bihari, Mr Sudharshan Prasad Sinha
and Mr Anant Kumar were present to monitor the drill which was organized. Our Principal, Mr Madhukar Jha
appreciated and felicitated the members of Fire Department. Altogether the event was very informative and effective.

Constitution of any nation can be
considered
as its foundation. It is the sole
responsible driving force that decides the
way of action required for the humble task
of nation building. It is the matter of
extreme pride for any nation if its
constitution is applauded throughout the
world. Our constitution is one of the many
that has received immense laurels. It came
into action on January 26, 1950 and
identified India as a republican nation.
Since then, this day is commemorated and
celebrated as the Republic Day.
th

Science is one such area that gets the maximum proclivity of students, irrespective of the age. Be it a toddler
from Primary Section or a youngster from the Senior Section, Science attracts everyone.
The Central Board Of Secondary Education (CBSE, Patna Region) organised a two day Regional Science Exhibition on
28.01.2019 and 29.01.2019 at a reputed CBSE School in Patna. More than forty students across Grades 8 and 9 visited

The fact that the world today is being driven by technological hands
cannot
be denied. When everything is accessible at a single click, it
becomes quite essential that our students get acquainted with the
fundamentals of cyber technology and its usage.
With the above stated view, the Green Olympiad Foundation conducted
Olympiads for English, Mathematics and Science in the campus on
31.01.2019. The students from grades 1 to 9 participated in it.The speciality
of the test was that it was Tab-Based assessment. The students had to answer
the questions on tablets. It was a great exposure for the children as it helped
the kids to come out of their comfort zones of answering questions on paper
and perform with un-parallel confidence.
